St. Patty's Day is right around the corner, and hopefully it brings a little extra luck.

Gabe and the No. 15 both performed strong in Saturday's Rock Carrier 150, climbing through the field to 5th place with 30 laps to go.

Unfortunately a transmission issue on a restart cost too much track position too late in the race to overcome.

Gabe finished 13th on an otherwise excellent weekend for GSR.

"It's too early in the season (to hang our heads)," team manager Dan Sommers said. "Everything we've done is positive. Last race we had a fast car but got wrecked. Knowing you have a fast car when you unload makes it easy to keep going. When we go to the track, we're fast."

GSR will shift gears to focus on its upcoming trip to the Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway on Sunday, March 22.

The team would like to thank Wimmer Motorsports and crew chief Chris Wimmer for a great setup this weekend and all our fantastic sponsors.

A great season is just getting started.
